Anyone know of any websites that are a Price Guide or Basic Info site for Czarist Russian coins?? Thanks, Bill
I posed a similar question at another forum, but got no response. My research lead me to several write-ups esp. about Wolmar and Conros (КОНРОС) catalogues. I haven't had the time to follow-up though. See links for more info (по-Русский): 1917-2009 http://www.infanata.org/hobby/colle...r-i-rossii-1921-2009-godov-noyabr-2009-g.html 1700-2010 http://www.aukro.ua/item912661729-konros-monety-rossii-1700-1917-2010g-12-izd-akciya.html 1700-1917 Download (bit torrent, in English) http://www.picktorrent.com/download/89/2175815/russian-coins-1700-1917-(konros-9.-edition,-2007).pdf/
Here is some additional info pursuant to the OP's question. You can purchase the КОНРОС catalog at: http://shopconros.ru/show_good.php?idtov=963532# Монеты России 1700-1917 гг. Редакция 12, 2010 год - 475 руб (Russian Coins 1700-1917, 12th Edition, 2010 - about $16.20 US) You will see, obviously, that it is in Russian.
Not to hijack the thread but I to have a Russian question. What do you know about this note, it's history and value? Thanks
Duke - I could be wrong, but this specimen looks Austro-Hungarian, not Russian to me. Austro-Hungarian isn't one of my focal areas.
I just now found your response to my old post. I have 2 russian coins, both silver 20 kopeks, one 1924 & one 1914. I know nothing about russian coins & was just generaly curious. I was looking for a basic info website for them. Thanks, Bill
I guess it depends on what grade they are in. Unless they are in UNC condition or proof, I guess the most you can get is up to 10 dollars each.
10, 15 & 20 kopeks (silver .500) value about 3$ for each in VF and about 4-5$ for each in XF (in Russia).
Siberian Man's prices are about what I've paid for specimens from a dealer in Virginia who has a ton of foreigns. I've noticed when I've looked that the same specimens on ebay are much more marked up.
