The U.S. Mint just issued this new "American Liberty 2022 Silver Medal" with a horse (a mustang) bucking and throwing off a saddle on the obverse, and a bald eagle on the reverse. They're charging $75 plus shipping for it. I'm just wondering what your opinion is about it. About any aspect of it. Here's a link: https://catalog.usmint.gov/american-liberty-2022-silver-medal-22DB.html
I bought the gold version last year. I thought I would get the silver metal and sell them together. The gold version went up a bit in the past year. Both gold and silver look good for making a profit.
That link will not allow me to connect but it’s not the link, it’s where I live. I’m sure they are overpriced like everything else they sell.
I rather think the bucking horse is one of the more attractive designs to come from the mint in a while...... Can't bring myself to spend $75.00 for an ounce of silver though.
I got their notifications up to a half hour before it was released. But $75 .. and I'm not too enamored of the design, so I let it pass. I see it's sold out now.
Hmm. How long were orders being accepted? For those who jumped, was it any better this time than it was for the previous quick sellouts?
I seriously doubt its sold out. 75k is a really high mintage for a medal. They likely just halted sales for a while since all the ones they have made are accounted for. Theyve been having issues getting silver planchets all year and they also just released the 1oz Air Force
That bucking horse design should have been on the Wyoming quarter instead of that flat lackluster one they had.
