Here’s a small gold piece I forgot I had. It was one of three in a new box that opened a few weeks ago. Sitting right on top. Still don’t have a clue what’s also in the box as I’ve been very busy with the antique shop, rocks, fossils and minerals.
I have no idea what this is, but I wish I had some gold pieces I forgot I had. Also if you really are a borderline hoarder I guess you are in the right business.
I’m no expert but my understanding is that any of the California fractionals with a bear are later tourist pieces with little to no gold content.
I rent a space. I have half of a large room a show case in the main room and a small space which locks for my rocks, fossils and minerals. It’s almost set up since I moved last week from my limited case to a larger one. I do a good business in all areas. There are 28 dealers there and I’ve always paid my rent from my sales each month for 11 years. Now in my twelfth year. Sure provides extra income in my retirement. I have such a large stock that I’m now starting to sell since I’m growing older. Here’s the new setup.
I am a borderline hoarder as I am very selective. A hoarder doesn’t care, they keep it all. Lol Snd I have a lot more hold and coins that I forget I had.
It’s not one of the real ones from the California Gold Rush but there is a small amount of gold that’s the same as genuine pieces. It has bedd Ed n checked and verified years and years ago.
So, there is an appointed sales person staffing the entire building? Are they authorized to make "deals" for you? I used to shop for antiques at a co-op and the sales person on duty had to contact the owner of the merchandise to get permission to lower the prices. Is that the way your store front operates?
Whoever is on duty can give a 10% discount if the potential buyer asks but if it’s more they will call the dealer. I’ve never had a real problem with this setup.
Well don’t bust them all out today. Take your time and enjoy the search at your own (oh look at this) pace
