I'm in search of looking for a 1970 S small date Lincoln. I look for the hook in the 9. Well I came across this 1969 with the last 9 in the date looks Identical to the 1970s small date (9) 20220813_191001.jpg 20220813_18_56_31.png 20220813_18_56_36.png 20220813_18_56_20.png 20220813_191007.jpg Could someone help me with this please. I also looked at more images online and can't seem to find any others that I've looked at. Is this common to have a Different style S?

Die deterioration of the date can change the shape slightly. I can;t see any relevance between the last 9 of a 1969 and the 9 in a small or large date 1970-S.

On a 1970-S the curve of the 9 either points to the 7 on a small date along with a weakly struck Liberty, or down towards the MM on a large date.
