at my one of my pages of Moonlight Mint items. I notice that I had mixed colors of my slabs. I decided to make them all the same, except for the graded one. Here are my before and after images. PS all the other pages are black inserts.
Those black slabs do give you a lot more flexibility but I cannot for the life of me figure out how you cut such perfect circles. By the way, you need to purge your collection of that oddball slab. I'll be happy to take it off your hands . . . . Z
Looks good now. Looked fine before. The different colored inserts were OK. (And I'm a mildly OCD type, saying that...)
I suppose if all the other pages had black inserts, I guess I can see why you did that. Otherwise, it wouldn't have bothered me.
These look great. Also noticed how this was one has not been shared, that's okay also. How many of these do you actually have?
@Collecting Nut Bought more of these, they have balck inserts. @ZoidMeister On the 50 mm I used my excel knife.
Not a fan of his works...but will say Dennis the black background does make a nice looking mount. I'm sort of in a mess as I also do self slabing...the slabs I liked and used were the coin world premier slabs, which I believe now are no longer being made. I had purchased a few h-10's ,shield nickels, and quarter sizes... but now down to two shield nickel slabs left. I don't know if ill be able to find more in the h 10 size...which is an issue with a hundred and some that may need be replaced....you see Rob you don't have the market on the OCD issue....lol there's quite a few of us
The other part many don't understand is this you maybe able to send the coins in at a show....Anacs does that alot here....but the return postage is very expensive. So a $10 each coin could end up being as expensive as sending in elsewhere. Besides like you Dennis it gives me something to do....as well keeps me out of trouble. I have no one to impress but myself.... as long as Im happy with the finished product....thats all that matters..
