View attachment 149 8770[/ATTACH] I'm I found this 1972. DDO penny the plachet looks a little different to me..... could it be a proof or just a extra thick plachet.....
have you checked here to see which one it could be ? http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/DDO 1972.htm also .. the flat grey background is fine you need to work on your lighting. bounce the lighting off of something white . don't let the light hit it directly. FYI - "no mint mark" is simply Philadelphia.
an 008 is much more obvious on the IN GOD WE TRUST than the date and 009 the 9, 2 and "N" of IN are the easy ones to see. You should try to improve your photos as much as possible. Becz I'm not going to look at them because they are too digitized, fuzzy, etc. But maybe 009. if you think it's a thick planchet go buy a scale and weigh it. Might still be within spec but may be on the heavy side. And us weighing a picture doesn't do anything.
There are so many varieties of this I can’t keep them straight. Check the resources that have been given you as this might be one. A lot of this date have extra thickness and what looks like a swollen rim. That’s normal.
