Guessing from all the snark and sarcasm that's flying around here, I'm guessing that these "points" can't buy me a durned thing. ...So much for that pizza, @CoinCorgi . Does anyone know the actual FUNCTION of "points" at forum sites like this?
So... the "incentive" is just to see the points go higher, because an increasingly higher number indicates that people are engaging with my content or "liking" it? Kinda like those dopamine hits in the form of "likes" on social media?
If you ever do get your points used please let me know. I have the same amount and would like to break out.
Anyway, you have a lot of stuff to do....packing up book stuff and mailing it, packing up more stuff and getting it to ANA, figuring out what you are going to do with all the wampum that is going to be pouring in from Caponeland, starting on the next book, polishing up the Caponeland Presentation, purchasing a fashionable suitcase...preferably one with Peanuts and Sponge Bob Square Pants scenes sewed into fine Italian Leather, and stuff like that. There will be plenty of likes far exceeding 113 at the sales table when the book is opened. CT should pay you for being here.....plus you are going to be in Deep Dish Pizza Land. you don't need no stinkin' CT Pizza freebie.
Yep. Gameification. Similar to trying to get "most posts", but the cap makes it maybe a little less prone to encourage obsessive/compulsive behavior.
I've worked on this lady's car.... not surprisingly she either lives out of it or that is just where she keeps her unmentionables...?
