I was hoping for some Pizza Rolls.

 

Forgive my ignorance but…. What?

 

No corn dogs and fish sticks?

 

How about a baked potato?

 

I was hoping @Kentucky was a baker and we were going to see images of freshly baked bread. Instead he shows Zincolns.

At least he's torturing zincolns. I'd use muriatic acid but the oven isn't too bad. Don't forget to release them back to the wild for those error searchers.

 

And also.......

 

They probably look better than when they went in the oven.

 

Do you check them with a toothpick?

 

On a piece of Al foil, directly under the heater element of an electric oven, set to 450 degrees and remove when it reaches temperature. Then put the Pizza Rolls in...

 

Nice toning on those!

 

The reds are so vibrant sometimes it's very attractive.

 

Ya gotta be careful you don't over bake them or you end up with this:

 

Crispy...when I was doing "The Silver And Gold Penny" experiment with high school students and the final step is heating the thin zinc coating to make brass on the surface (the "gold"). Done in a bunsen burner flame, the Zincolns would often rupture and the zinc would drip out.

It is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, so......

 

When I was trying out the big Fresnel lens and sunlight on Zincolns, I had at least one POP. Small noise, little puff of grey smoke. The boiling point of zinc is below the melting point of copper.

If I had a good vacuum system, I'd consider trying to make Zincoln popcorn.

 

Now I'm confused. Are you baking or broiling them? Putting them under the element is broiling them.

 

just pop a handful in the toaster !!
