Hello guys, i recently joined the forums. I left a message at the introduction section. Well to summarize it, i collect coins since i was young. I am 23 at the moment, this week i decided to collect almost every coin from the world. Anything i can get my hand on, previeusly i only collected Ottoman coins. Mainly trough my family in turkey, and some of ebay only buying from high rated buyers. I got lots of coins, some i dont know about. these are some of them, rate them please.

    here are some more:
    description:

First 2 pictures are from Sultan Abdulaziz, year 1281. I am not sure what year it is in our calendar, something between 1861and 1870??
It is a copper coin, used in Tunesia under Ottoman rule. 8 harube its called. its a very heavy coin, diameter of 31.

The 3rd picture is from 2 abbasid coins, i think they are from:
1st coin Ahmad al-Radi, 322 AH in wasit?? i am not sure.
2nd coin is unknown to me. could be fake.

Last picture is a Ottoman medal, the Liyakat Medal for bravery. Given after 1890 to soldiers, it was a widely used medal in WW1 both to Turkish and German soldiers. It was struck both in gold and silver, i have the silver one. The silver medal has 2 variants, 1 made in Turkey and the other one in germany. The german version seems to be made of better quality silver. I dont know which version i have.

this concludes the second description post:)

here some more, i hope you like it. remember this is just a small portion of my whole collection.

    Description:
First 2 pictures are from Ottoman coin 40 piastres, Sultan Abdulaziz year 1277/10, which is 1861. Its a copper coin, diameter 36. This coin has 2 versions, one with a flower on the right. I have the one without flower, this coin was made in Brussels or Paris, and used in Ottoman Egypt. Of course the one with flower is worth hundreds.

The 3rd and 4th picture is from my roman coin, it could be fake because i am not an expert on roman coins. Check post 7, for a better picture. Is it from Emperor Constantius II?

Last one is a nazi germany 2 reichsmark.

next list, the last ottoman coin is a fake resad coin. its a 500 kurus, but its only been minted in gold and the gold coin has el gazi next to tugra instead of el resad.

    Description:
The first 4 coins are the same coins, only difference is mintyear. One is minted in the 8th year and other 9th year of Sultan Abdulmecid. 1255. Its a 20 kurus, diameter of 37. In our year its around 1839. Last one is described above.

I forgot to put descriptions, the picture with 2 coins in them are abbasid coins. I suspect the right one, to be fake. I dont know why but it feels like that:D but if you click on the picture you get the names of the coins.

i will try to make a better photo of my roman coins, and i got some other ancient coins. Ill post them later.

Thank you for posting your collection.

Sometimes, I have trouble determining which side I should call the OBVERSE and which side I sould call the REVERSE. I will either mount it the way it is listed in Krause or I will mount it with whichever side I like best facing forward.

Oke here goes i will try my best to describe the coins in a understandeble order since my english is not the best.

The first 2 pictures, 20 para front and back. This coins is from Sultan Abdulhamid, struck in Constantinople (ottoman turks used konstantiniye, not istanbul.) This coin has a diameter of 31, in arabic it says year 1187 and mintyear 2. So its 1774 in normal calender year. Mintyear 2 means its the second year of reign.

The 3rd and 4th picture is from Sultan III Selim. year in arabic is 1203 mintyear 1, which is 1789. Its a 2 zolta (coming from polish zlota) 60para. It has a diameter of 41.

The last picture is paper money 5 piastres. It is from Sultan Resad, arabic year 1332, normal year 1917. It was used during WW1.
this completes the first post, i will edit the other posts. it will be easier for all of us to read that way. feel free to ask questions.

weryon, thats a very nice site you have. nice coins, would love to have other coins then ottoman coins. I am awaiting 10+ coins, canadian, austrian, british and others.

NOTE: i have edited the earlier posts. Check for description there:) enjoy
