    Odd find

Earlier this week, I found my first ever Australian penny. Oddly enough, in a box today I found a coin with the obverse of a 1977 Kennedy and the reverse of a 1967 Australian penny. Whoever made it did a great job as you can't see any kind of seam and it looks legit.

Got my kids excited for sure.)

    Hello everyone,

I got a few rolls of Nickels again today. I guess i picked the right time to get back into this wonderful hobby as it has been rewarding, in small doses but non the less rewarding. Today I got another war nickel, 1942P, and along with that I found a nice Die Cracked 2000p, which I posted in the Error coin section of the board.

You can see the error coin here: http://www.cointalk.com/t99339/

    Regards,
    Stan

    Amazing day today
    1 wheatie (1946)
    3 Silver war nickels
    2 silver quarters (1962,1964)
2 Morgans (1921) both have been extensively cleaned
3 Flying eagle cents all 1858, 1 is the 1858/7.
Two were used as necklace pieces, one is soldered, the other still has the hole. The third one seems to have been a "parking lot" penny at oen point. Condition is abd, but overall Its hard to find any of these, not to mention 3! all in the same customer roll. LOL
The morgans were sitting in the drawer, she happily gave them to me since she didnt like $1 coins.
I have 2 boxes of halves to search tmro, and then I have a couple more nxt week, wish me luck.
Side note: I searched a box of dimes, but came out empty spare 2 2009 D...
Also got 10 LP4 today all mint, UNC

If you truly found 2009 D dimes, check to see if business strike because no one has found those yet. If so, put it up on ebay. Did you mean to say 2009 P?

Actually, no, the prices will go down. My first 2009 P dime sold for $48 on ebay, then sold some for in the 30s, then 20s, and now you are lucky to get a buck. No one has found a single one of these, and you say you have two boxes of them. How about a picture?

If you have them, you could make a couple of grand on ebay right now with two boxes (I was the first to sell 2009 P dimes on ebay and I my NET profit was $1932 after selling about 50 singles and 27 rolls). If you wait until others find them and sell them, then you will never get those prices again. Why on earth would you not want to be the first on Ebay and get extremely elevated--never to be repeated when the 40 million of them get released from the Fed--prices right now?

I've gotta say, with the tone of your answer, I'm having a hard time believing you. How about a picture?

Not a roll find, but unexpected.

I bought a 1956 Washington quarter off ebay. The seller sent me a couple "bonus coins" for his appreciation of my business.
Usually when this happens, I'll get a new penny or a steel cent. One time I got a 1977 nickel.:)

Today my bonus coins were a 1951 Jefferson nickel, a 1941 Canadian quarter, and a 1947 Canadian dime.

    Made my day.

    Now what...

I bought two $25 boxes of cents hoping to root through a variety of old and new. This was true for the first box, where I found a few wheaties (nothing spectacular) and two Bermuda cents!

Pictured below are the Bermuda cents (pigs?) and a 1957 wheat cent. They are laying on the contents of the second box.
