Well Im not much of a coin collector. So i dont know much about coins. I got this 1958 d penny today. It just seems off to me.. The color of the penny, the finish, and the 1 in 1958 doesn't look right. Just wondering if it could be worth anything at all..
People do all kinds of things to these coins. There's nothing noteworthy in the color or the finish on this one. The funny 1 might have a die chip and the mint mark, the D, might have been twice-punched. We need much sharper pictures of the date and mark to tell anything definitive. In the end none of it's worth much, anyway, maybe a few cents to a dollar.
I searched 1958 d penny and I got a listing for a wheat penny error listing for $1000. Some people think that if they find an error they will get $1000.
Found this one last year it looks really close to yours. Put mine in a 2x2 because I think it’s pretty cool and in excellent condition, besides it only cost me a cent!
That’s the way to do it. Put it in a flip and keep it. Nothing special, just a super nice looking coin for it’s age. No cracks, no chips, no doubling. Very nice.
