I used to sell them in my 10-cent, 12/$1.00 bin when I had a small antique mall operation. Your $100 and $500 figures are laughable, I'm afraid. More like ten cents.
I think a lot of these posters think that, they have a coin worth $100 or $500 when it is more like face value or 10 cents.
Just some advice; if you are looking to get rich from finding valuable coins, the chances are worse than the lottery. I'd suggest you play it instead.
Heck man…. I own some ten and twenty dollar coins that are priceless to me for one reason or another. If that coin holds value to you, that’s all that matters.
