I just received 3 early Morgan's back from NGC marked "AU improper cleaning" What will this do to the value? These are some better date CC Morgans that I was hoping to make some money on. I bought them on Ebay (stupid me). Thanks for your help!!

Well, looks like to me that they still graded them AU....which is a nice grade. I'd gather people will probably pay XF prices for an AU coin, if they know they are getting one that has been cleaned. Of course, the eye appeal matters a lot for cleaned coins. Ones dipped would do better than ones whizzed or scrubbed. Those that are purists simply won't buy it.

Improper cleaning is one of the worst things to have "graded" on a coin. Basically its worth no more then silver value. Being that it's CC you may get a bit more but nothing like a non-cleaned coin would bring you.

    Thats ebay for ya.
