Just finished a box of halves and a box of dimes. It's been awhile since I have reported a big zero.

    Welcome to Coin World! :high5:

Looks nice, but small pictures make it tough to tell. I'm also wondering if you posted in the wrong thread - The discussions in this thread are about what people find in rolls from the bank or maybe in a cash register at work.

Just got back from Mikky D's. When the gal opened her drawer for my change, I notice four gold presidential dollars. I asked for them. She gave me two. She whispered that she didn't want to get in trouble, whatever that meant.

I'm not too keen on these bucks, but I got two Millard Fillmore's that look like they just came from the mint.

    Warning

Back from spring break vacation and went to the bank to buy a box of halves. With the brinks boxes which don't have holes, I always open the box in front of the teller. Glad I did, it was one roll short.....that's $10!!!

I suggest you do the same (I found a roll that was in sideways once missing 3 coins).

I got a different box from them and searched it yesterday and found:
    8 40%ers
    1 90%er (1964).

I'm on quite a roll (for me)....My last five boxes since I reported on my first 100 have been in total silver:
    9, 28, 52, 4, 9 - sure beats all of the shutouts!

    I'll get another box today.

    Hello everyone,

Been a while since I have been on here. I recently went through the last of the 5000 wheaties i bought some time ago. Mainly all i did was break them up into decades then place them in plastic tubes. Nothing to really brag about, all in worn condition What I ended up with was 56 rolls of 1950's, 34 rolls of 1940's, 7 rolls of 1930's, 2 rolls of 1920's and on roll of 1909-1919. All in all not bad. I bought them in separate auctions on ebay years ago, and just now got around to looking through them.

This was my first real attempt back in the hobby as about a year ago i had to sell off abut 75% of my collection, and i am trying to see exactly what i have left. I have heard many times most do not come back, however this hobby has been so enjoyable I just can not stay away:)

Lil funny joke on me which kind of shows I have sadly been away to long. I was reading the previous posts and I seen lp1, lp2, lp3, 3tc and had no clue what they where, till I reread it, Lincoln Penny 1, etc etc. Kind of nice in a way. First day back on CT and I already learned something new:)

    Regards,
    Stan

Not really roll searching, but my wife and I were visiting my folks at their lake house this weekend. While sipping my coffee one morning I spied a mason jar full of old pocket change on one of their counters. A quick search of its contents yielded one 40%er, one '53 Frankie, and a couple of state quarters I needed to plug some holes in my album (only two holes left). So even though the fish weren't really biting, at least I didn't go home empty handed. :goofer:

    Similar story

similar Great finds. Similar story. Great finds come with Spring cleaning.

Cleaning out river camp, inside an old dresser, I found a roll of wheats! (yet to be searched)

One dateless Indian nickel (I'm going to try a vinegar soak to see if a date can be seen)

    and a 1964 quarter!

and about a cup of old mouse droppings...yuck....

So wish me luck when I bust open the penny roll. Both ends Rev so I only know they are wheats. First I must contend with the mouse Tootsie Rolls.:hammer:

My box today ended my small streak of 5 successive boxes with silver. I did find a 1980 Medio Balboa and a 2008S Proof.

I also found another gold plated Kennedy with 1960 and 1980 punched on either side of the obverse. Strange. ???

I went through $ 40 in nickels this week, I found only:
    1940
    1948 D
    1949 D
    1954 D
    1955 D
Not really a big haul, but yesterday, I found a 1952 D dime in change, I guess that balances things out....
