I've picked up a few coins over the last several months that I have not shared yet. My life has finally slowed down a bit and I've had time to shoot some of these latest additions to my collection. I will spread these out, rather than doing one large GTG, which can sometimes be overwhelming. They will all be Morgan Dollars for now, so those of you who are not fans, you don't have to play. ;)

Here is the first one up. It's an 1878-S Morgan and it was love at first sight. I have a soft side for the '78-S and I just couldn't pass this one up.

Looks very clean with some minor chatter; I was between 64 and 65. You having the plus option made me want to use that and so I went 64+ :p

I'm with you on the addiction for '78-S Morgans. I went with MS65 and have to ask if that's an S/S I'm seeing?

No, it's a filled MM. But if you look at the center of the eagle's chest, you'll notice something. ;)

    Die Chip? Vam28?

She’s beautiful. Picks show a PL obverse. 65 or 66.

Are those parallel lines on the reverse, in the fields by the eagle, raised? Can't tell by the photogs.

Those lines are die polish lines, so yes, they are raised. :)

Bingo, VAM-28. The die chip on the eagle is the quickest pick-up.
