I currently collect coins and refrigerator magnets.

Everytime I go somewhere I try to get a magnet to stick on the fridge. Got magnets from different casinos, California, Arizona, England, Disneyland, etc. Certainly makes some good conversation. I don't travel a whole lot but I got the front of the fridge halfway filled with magnets.

Another buddy of mine collects shot glasses and I may start doing that too.

Sweet! I saw a special on how these things are made...pretty intricate! I would collect them, but don't know a reputable place to get them...care to share?

EDIT: I just found a place called "Land of Marbles" with marbles from various artists. Some of the better ones are $50 and up. ...but they sure look nice and the artwork is amazing!

Been saving this for 20 years

Found it in an old jewelry box, I think it's Sarg's Stripes from WW11.

Marked " Sterling" on the back.

Those were Revolutionary-War of 1812 vintage

By the Civil War, most had percussion, and there were some cartridges in use.

:D I wasn't sure....you'd be surprised at the number of folks I've talked to who were clueless about history.

I was talking to a girl one night at work, and something just made me ask her "As of this moment, how many states are there in the US?"

She paused, and said "Either 52, or 54". I asked her what the last two were and the answer was "Canada and Mexico".
