I love the American Innovation coins. To me, they are one of the nicest modern issues. They beat the heck out of modern commemoratives, reissues, and most special sets.

I like them, but human nature determines people will use money they prefer, all things being equal. Congress got sidetracked by special interests in 1978 and didn't stop printing dollar bills, dooming small dollar coins. The $10 bill at this point should be the smallest denomination bill printed, and coins for everything else.

    Quite agree. :)

I mean, I don't go 'nuts' with these. I get the proof offering of 4 annually and that's it. I like 'em.

I still like the fiver, but they should dispense with the dollar bill. Just about every other country on earth has already done so.

The chuck e cheese gold token is always the kiss of death for a series being popular. They look awful when they tone usually. If they just changed the color theyd get more love

I prefer the Native American dollars. 1 a year is enough and they are interesting. When they put a snowboarding indian on the reverse, I'll stop collecting 'em.

The Innovation Liberty design is my favorite modern coin design of all time, it's just perfectly minimalist.
I kinda like the Innovation dollars, kind of A LOT :p

Here's a little sample of the goods...

I like the snowboarding Vermont coin. I will have to get a couple, one for my stepson and one for myself.

I'm holding out adding such to my collection because I believe that scratches and fingerprints are gong to be the next craze and my pile of disk will be cool again.

I do rather like them but not enough to commit to the series. I have the introductory proof for the type.

I like the Kentucky design and notice from your photo that the Vermont dollar incorporates 'CAC' in the design :)

Bought a handful of these for 1.50 each fairly recently because I had to have some of the Hubbles lol! Currently searching for the graded Hubble I'd like to have.

Interesting concept, finding them in bank rolls at face value. That's at least a 15% discount to the issue price. There are folks buying bags and rolls, cherry-picking the best for resale, then releasing the rest into the wild. Good for CRH.

Too many coins are coming out that require a serious investment for many years. I don't want to commit to another long run of coins in any series. I stopped when the Innovation series started. I got the first one and that was it. I don't do the new quarter series either. Just too much stuff for me to be interested in.

I think the AIs are sharp lookers. I remember deciding not to collect them because — at my age — I didn’t want to commit to anything through 2032.

That’s probably real silly, looking back. I need to take another look at the proofs and reverse proofs.

"Why no love?" For one, I do not like the open fields of the obverse. Being a modern issue, I am sure I would be looking for gems and I think I would have OCD for every little mark I see in those fields. Secondly, I also was burnt out from state quarters, prez dollars, state park quarters, and really did not want to do another series like that when other series such as the Walking Liberty Halves was holding much more of my interest.

Still, great thing about this hobby is you can collect what you like! Some of the reverses do look cool, but for a series, I'll respectfully pass.
