    Looks like one of those that's still nice despite the cleaning (I have plenty of those in my type set album).

    As for hijacking the thread, I sincerely apologize to the OP, Mr. Weaseluv. I do forget the courtesy rules and will try to do better. As for Paddy, no apologies to him/her.

    It's to bad that a member 'troll' needs to be shamed ,and put in place by other members of this forum...especially when the member at 66 years of age....one should be mature enough to realize what they done.
    As for an apology from you...ha..... I wouldn't except it... as a [" troll like yourself "] brings nothing to this party, but their self centered egotistical personality. 1 iggy button coming up.... ! As after you made a Complete fool of youself...you're still trying to stir things up....some never learn.

    @mrweaseluv
    I do believe that once in hand you can compare yours,and this information on the V-8 ms strike. But do message me when you have it in hand. Now you said you paid up for this specimen have a look at the comps. I do believe that cracked out and allowed to retone...it may grade straight. My last count I have 60 some CB H-10's and around 150 seated Liberty's. And quite a few are detailed, however again a lot of h-10's were in high sulfur albums,& coin boards...look around the stars....as thats how dark this coin was prior to being cleaned,and or dipped. 1656854039068_20220703_091156.jpg 20220703_090721.jpg

    Weasel also notice that the comps aren't current market values..the are 10 -12 years passed.

    Current price points range from Au.50- 58. $150-$375. Which to my knowledge do not enclude any variety that may increase the value. If I am correct you got an R-5 specimen and a great score.

    I wish this were the case, but from what I can see the date is fairly well centered (not low as described on the v-8) but hopefully when she arrives I will get pictures good enough to attrib her :D

    Look at the 1 ill give you the link to the site to compare the digit 1 yours has a pointed top above the flag...the other die marriages 1 has a flat blunt above the flag.
    But here have some fun..https://sites.google.com/view/clintcummins/half-dime-attribution-guide

    Look at all the digits...and yours you will see the location of the pendant to the date it runs down the back of the 4. But go look and have fun...look at everything make a list of pups that are there...dont be concerned if not... remember die state...as a crack may be there in a late die state...and not seen in early. The sharpness of the strike on your coin...is just another item that speaks of fresh new dies...which struck only a very small amount < 400 estimated. 20220703_183016.jpg

    after a good look I'm thinking v-4/5 as the date position is correct and it seems to match with the reverse die crack (barely visible on my pics but seems to be there)...
    Honestly, I don't thin we'll know for sure until she's in hand :D
    best closeups i've got of the date and what appears the die crack across the ribbons...
