Is that accurate? The SF mint is lower than the SLC?

So the above auction is live again, having begun at 3 pm this afternoon. The bid is up to $5k... curious if this lot sells today.

The bid is back up to $6k more or less where it left off last weekend when it didn't realize whatever the reserve must be...

Still at the same level... less than half an hour left to go.

Some people will hold onto something for 30 years waiting for the market to move $5 so they won't take a loss.

So very true Marshall, but there appears to be a realised price this time... will have to check in tomorrow to see the results.

And... no deal. Not sold again, bid up to the same amount, 6K, then nothing.

No, I'm not after this set of commems at all. I am very interested to see what this set can fetch in auction and to see how long it may take to sell. It's not looking like it will sell in this format. TeleTrade may not be able to sell these all to any individual nor dealer, especially at this time. I owned most all of these same coins, but they were not graded, they were all in pristine OGP. I actually sold off all of my modern silver commemoratives from the US Mint before 2008. The only one I have picked up in silver was the LN6 Lincoln set so that I could flip it, which I did. Since getting out of US Mint Silver commems I have happily moved into other things and taking my collecting in new directions.

whom you sell all your modern commems?. i think you can break even. right?. mine too. if i sold all my commems. i can not make a nice profit. that is why i don't buy modern commems since 1994. oss. i did bought some benjamin franklin unc one. but i didn't sell any. cause i told you before. i don't sell.

one more things. since i don't sell any. modern commems or gold and other silver stuffs. last month. i try to pretend i am going to sell some. and i pretend i am new to this field. the result was terrible. we knew that the big dealers buy more or less 10% below cdn bid price. and that guy give me a quote 20% below cdn bid price. those were popular gold and silver proof coins. like ASE one ounce proof. so dealers were mostly cheater.

Individually listed on eBay. between 06/07 when silver was up and collectors paying extra for US Mint silver proof sets and commems, most things sold the first time listed and many BIN for the amount asked. I would only suggest selling to collectors, dealers have to much concern for their profit margins to deal with and must low-ball their offer price. Also, I don't look at modern Silver commems to sell based on spot metals prices, especially now, I only look for collector interest where a premium/profit can be made... almost pretend that the coins aren't made of precious metals so you don't get tied up in that aspect.
