I didn’t order one due to the higher prices. I keep fining silver in my boxes that I’m opening from 5-12 years ago.

I simply never appreciated the design because of cutting off the left wing of the Eagle, and the beak Band-Aid appearance. It would also not have taken much effort to align the W.

I know, I know, I am petty. I am old.

I've never been a fan of the Silver Eagles but I do have a few in my collection...maybe 5, most of which were given to me. I won't pay the price they want on the mints website...

I returned mine . I do not care for the reverse and after selling A graded ANACS SP-70 2017 Burnished for 55 bucks on auction it soured me to these. I do not see getting my return on these.

For all you guys seeking investment return, it proobably ain't gonna happen anytime soon......as for collector return? It's priceless. I have loved these honking hunks of silver for nigh on 25 years now and they never (unlike me) get 'old' with me. :)

That's actually one of the things I LIKE about the design. It really adds a lot to the sense of movement, in my opinion.
Dangit, I never would've seen it that way, and now I'll never see it any other.
And to clean up all the other debris in the field -- oh, wait, I suppose those are designer initials, the new unifying themeof 21st-century Mint issues.

My father had a coin collection, and my brother would be the recipient of his coins, except my mother didn't want to start giving my brother, two sisters and me the things our father left to us. Probably, she didn't want to start emptying her home of the things my father (and mother) had collecting. My father had been in the U.S. Navy during WW II and served in the South Pacific and my parents had collected many great things. After WW II, he left the Navy and enlisted in the Navy. It was then that they collected many things, especially "his" coin collection. Our mother passed in 2009. It was then my brother and I received "his" coin collection and he had many U.S. coins and currency. Many of the coins were worn a bit, but they were and are beautiful coins, especially the coins. Before the coins were finally given to us, we went over each item we were given. Something that I really liked are the 1988 American Eagle Silver Uncirculated coins. There were 6, and each had been preserved in the 2 by 3 inch "plastic" case for each. He also had some Morgans, Ike dollars, and almost all of the Indian Head Cents. No matter what the condition they were in, they were my father's When I looked at the ASE's, I got "hooked" on the ASE's. Since then, I have bought the ASE-W, ASE-S, and the ASE-UNC. I missed out on a few ASE's because they were sold out before I could get them. I wish all that are ASE collectors, the best of luck in your search for the perfect coin. They are out there, but several of them are beyond my price limit.

I got mine. Agree the premium is a bit too high, but bought it anyway.

I agree with all three points. The initials look like graffiti applied to the coin, and the bandaid....I cannot unsee it now either. :(

Wouldn't the "W" be aligned correctly if the coin were rotated to have "One Dollar" centered on the bottom? I don't think it's supposed to be centered with the branch laying flat.

I received my 3, 2 of which I wasn't sure if they would arrive as I had changed my address. But they did show up after 10 days of USPS doing there thing.
The 3rd one I ordered just in case the other 2 didn't. 2022-W UNC ASE 1-horz.jpg

No, because then you are screwing up the Eagle.

Sheesh, now I am supposed to be a Balanced Appearance Artist, and have a PHD in Numismatic Circumferential Physics Equations?

Stop picking on me, and leave me alone. Go bother the old guy down the street from you.

BTW, have you seen my Peanuts Naptime sweater?
