Sorry, I'm serious, I just don't care for the coin.

To be fair I went back and took a second look at it.

You can still keep it. Maybe in hand it looks better, but based on the pictures, pass.

In hand, it is definitely even more spectacular. To each his own is all I can say.

    Charmy,

I find that coin eerily attractive. That is to say it is remarkable in an unusual way. I bet the luster is incredible. It seems to me that Todd's photos seem to downplay luster in order to capture the true essence of the color scheme.

People often overuse the term monster with regards to toning and eye appeal. Personally, I have developed my own criteria. If I see a coin and can remember the coin and what it looked like years later, that to me is a monster. There is only one large cent that I can recall meeting the monster criteria. I have seen it sold several times and no, I am not convinced the toning is NT. Here is the Anaconda photo.

I like your coin, but I have a feeling that if you asked me one year from now, I don't think I could give it the monster tag.

I carefully looked at both coins again and Charmy's is not a monster, it's a monsters monster by itself or compared with the toned one in this post - there is no comparison not even the same ballpark.
This toned one to me is suspect of artifically or enhanced toning and has little depth - it has a flat affect.
Charmy's is deep, reflective and so well preserved. The originla mint red shining through acts as a halo. It's as if there is a spot light on it with those protected areas still intact. Simply put this coin "has it all" it's one of the best original large cent I've ever seen and I would not ever expect to see one better soon. This is a monster, today, next week or next century. It absolutely begs you to even think for a moment it's not original. It actually screams, "I'm an a perfect example of the coiner's art, you just try and tell me I'm not"! It has personality, it has it all!
I could go on for pages about this coin and if I could afford it I would buy it at 3 or 4 times ask with no reservations.
Considering recent posts regarding new persons and valueing moderns coins as rare or valuble I think this coin could convince many of that whole argument with one glance!

That anaconda coin is blinding. I would pass on it - based off pictures(stressing this). At the same time I will probably remember it because of the color.
