I've never submitted a buffalo nickel before so I wanted some opinions on this one before I reveal the grade. I've mostly sent in Morgans or gold coins. I just thought this one looked pretty sweet.
    Thanks for looking!

I like that one quite a lot.

The coin looks to have MS67 strike, luster, and eye appeal, but the small scratch across the hair above the ribbon, the imperfection in the right obverse field in front of the nose, and the small scattered marks on the bison should keep the grade at MS66.

I am gonna say they gave this coin MS66+.

That coin is a stunner! I’ll say MS66.

Very nice coin no matter what the grade. Unless I'm missing something, I'm also going with MS66. Not sure how they judged the very few small dings on the coin, which one has to look for to see, so none of them pop out and distract from the coin's full eye appeal.

Very beautiful Buffalo! It looks to be a strong 66. I can't tell if my eye's are picking up on something that might not be there, it almost looks like light hairlines across the Cheek on the obverse going east to west. It could very well just be die erosion and not a light cleaning. Still a very nice Buffalo and it has the look that I try to find.

    My first thought was a 66 but I can see this in a 67 holder...but ms 66

This one's just too strong to not go MS67. The True Views are on the flattering side, I get that. But this one tops out at that kind of money. Unless these True View images are really off the mark, this is one superbly-struck and clean-as-a-whistle coin.

    Nice color and eye appeal!

Something makes me think this one fell short of a high grade (can’t quite say what, just a random feeling)….my guess is MS 64

I am at MS65. Maybe a 66. Great color, great strike just a couple focal area contact. The EPU clash will sometimes hold the coin back.

Nice strike. Did you ask for authentication of DDO-001?

I didn't notice the doubling until I got the Truviews. I did a search and didn't come up with much for the 23-P

I'll post the cert# soon so you can all see the disappointing grade.

My guess it was graded MS65. It looks similar to the one I have in my 1923 year set. Me, I would have gone 66 but then again, as mentioned, the TrueView images tend to hide blemishes.

True view images can be deceiving so I'd go with MS 65. Based on the "True View" image I'd call it a 66 to 67 but, I know the coin doesn't look like the picture. I wish it did but, they normally don't. It's really nice coin though.

I couldn't figure out how to post a link from the cert page so here is the TrueView with the cert # Disappointing AU58+ The toning must be covering some wear. 238871851.jpeg

I hope the grade is not a disappointment. It is a super coin.

I didn't and still don't see that grade. However it's graded, I will take it off your hands so you don't have to be saddened every time you look at it.
