    Here is a campgate coin with ( G7 ) heroic bust from Crispus.

    Here's a BI tetradrachm of Gordian III toting a sword and shield, which I guess makes this a heroic portrait, unless he is just going out to do some light trimming around the garden, but let's not make that assumption.

    Gordian III, 241-244 AD

    It isn't a heroic bust because Gordian III is clearly cuirassed.
