UPGRADE FROM 3-6 KREUZER TO THALER ON FRANCIS II

    its a little worn, but its a huge leap from what i had.. the seller had it advertised as a 1/4 thaler(without weight and remarked it was of Joseph ll)..i got so reasonable i almost feel guilty....:)

    I recognize the engraver Théodore Van Berckel from a previous coin search.
    I also like that it has the Golden Fleece on it.

    I think I might have a couple coins of him either as HRE or Emperor of Austria.
    No thalers though. Congrats on the fortuitous find.

    I am confused by the weight and diameter you posted under your coin. The 30 mm would be for a 1/4 kronenthaler coin not a one kronenthaler. I thought this might be a typo but should be cleared up since you said the dealer sold it as a 1/4 kronenthaler.A kronenthaler should be about 39 mm.A 1/4 kronenthaler would weigh less than your posted weight.
