Guess the final hammer on this unique coin

My guess is that someone comes in and outbids the current leader and takes the coin for $2 plus fees ($5 minimum buyer's fee).

 

oh bummer. they lost money getting that graded.

 

Have we seen this coin on CT? It sure looks familiar. It’s only worth ten cents but it will probably auction off for about $50.00.

 

It's possible (although I haven't seen it before). It does look like a case of someone who didn't believe others saying it's not worth getting graded but still went ahead and sent it in.

 

Worth approx. 10 Cents!!!

 

Why did they do it? I know! They thought that it was a mint error, probably in some exotic metal. For once a parking lot “error collector” paid for their folly instead of bedeviling us with it.

I would bid a dime, but then, I would lose money, with the vigorish added.

 

By the reverse my guess is the submitter was hoping it would come back as a missing clad layer.The obverse in general along with the other pinta looks tells its not and just environmental exposure.I personally would only pay ten centsthe hammer price?$12 the person probably spent close to $100 for certification.

 

Since I have no earthy idea and I can't imagine this going for more than $100, I grabbed by 1-100 D&D dice. The dice roll says $45.

 

Surely that was stuck to the bottom of the submission box. I guess $5 plus fees.

 

When I checked the link, the current bid was $1.00. Can't see it going for more...second thought, can't see it going even for that.

 

I will guess $8 before fees.

 

A new bidder might bid $2.00 right before the auction ends, but the original bidder probably thought he could outsmart any late-comers by putting in a maximum bid of $3.00. So my guess - it will go for $3.00.

 

It's already at 10 times face before auction fees! Why would anyone bid on this???
