Hi: I came across this in my 50 year box and was wondering if their was a safe way to clean the green corrosion? The date may have some doubling.
    Thanks: Lou close up.jpg

I can see the doubling on the date but not enough to add any value. Too much damage.

It should be listed in the Snow reference if it's anything special

Soak in distilled water. You may need to leave it there for a long while. It will start to lift the verdigris. Use progressively harsher conservation techniques after that. But you might be amazed at how well distilled water works.

You can use verdicare but not sure it is worth the money spent on it.

Soaked in distilled water for about 8 hours - made a big difference. Thanks: Lou
