Okay, my thread on the 1901 Canadian penny got me looking through a bunch of my world coins. It turns out I have Voins from the following places... -Norway -Jordan -Greece? -England -CCCP (USSR?) -Venezuela -New Zeland -Mexico -Europe (Euro) -Denmark -Asia??? (can't read 'em) -Colombia -Chile -Bahamas -Uruguay -France -Hong Kong -India -Germany -Philipenes -Barbados So I guess My question is, ahould I do a complete search (Post pictures, dates, etc. for some thing rare? Or I guess, I don't know... What should I do with these? I KNOW NOTHING!
These countrys I only have one coin for ( although I thought I had an old franc penny somewhere.... )
foreign This is a great start for someone to start collecting foreign coins. Most dealers have 25 cent to $1 boxes that have these in them. Also you can buy them buy the pound or in hundred coin lots very reasonable. This is the way that I started. This was three years ago. Now have over 10,000 coins in 2 x 2's. Careful. It can become addicting. Have fun. Olmanjon
Yeah, this is only the tip of the iceberg... Unfortunatly my camera kinda' ... died on me... Pictures of the rest of these will probobly be on hold for a couple weeks... :crying: And yes, going through these IS a little addicting.
WOW some awesome coins. I came across this 2001 Panama coin in my last near box of cents. I thought at first that it was real old due to the amount of grud it had on it but when spit revealed it was much newer then I thought I gave it the ol' comet dump. I know, I know, we're not suppose to clean our sense I mean cents, but I did any way. I am not sure this is even a coin the reveres nor the obverse have no monatary value stamped anywhere on it, could be a token, anybody know?
Echoing everyone else, yes pics would help. You never know but you could have a real gem among that lot. Tiag12, yes its a coin. It should say "un centisimo de balbao" on the reverse. That's the denomination.
I should have the camera back sometime next week. And then, I will take as many pictures as I can of these things...
