Well it's payday tomorrow, and it will be a nice one (I think every payday is pretty great) and I'm trying to decide on something neat. Usually I just pick off whatever strikes my fancy that is cheap for the type, but I'm thinking of something nicer than usual - put all my monetary eggs in one basket this week. Perhaps a graded Morgan? A proof something or other? I think that is a bit too little for a Seated Liberty half dime or something, but maybe I could stretch a little. I'm not much for contemporary coinage, but I am open to world coins and US Coins. Anyone have any suggestions / thoughts / pictures of your recent acquisitions in this range?
I would buy a piece to further my 1936 to 1942 project, but first, I can’t find the coins, and two $250 is not enough for even one coin.
I would say a decent trade dollar,I haven't spent that much on a single coin over a year ago when I bought my quarter eagle for $280.
honestly if i had 250 right now , id invest it in a bond or throw it into coin base : atom coin to get 5% return , 13 % if i lock it into a municipal treasury bond
$250? Not much. Toping off the tanks with premium unleaded in both my cars and then enough left over for a nice meal. That's about it. Now if we were talking $250K, I'd have plenty of things I would be interested in.
I have $250 too spare but what I want cost a lot more than that. I just spent $400 at an auction of which 2 of those coins will be going into my 7070 album. I recently bought a bargain on a CSA Note. It cost me over $500 but it was worth it. I’m just saving my money for that expensive one that I want.
if where talking 250k pay off debts, pay rent for a year , and buy a few completed albums and stuff and just bank it to live off the returns 175k @5% is decent enought to pay partial of my rent forward.. 8750 is decent
I would probably buy the last ATB "W" mint mark quarter I still need! Not sure what I would do with the rest!
I'd probably look for a really pretty, conservatively graded, less common commemorative . . . thinking along the lines of Albany, Connecticut, Grant, Lincoln, Lynchburg, etc.
Wish my banks were loaded with halves,I probably have gotten maybe $10-$20 worth within years,my first box would be amazing!!.
Holly smokes!!!where do you live sparta?I understand your great loyalty to your community and how the government gives you all free stuff for your heroics against the Persians but that much for a Gallon of gas is unbelievable!!!!.
