I was just wondering if any of you have used this auction and wonder how it went or what you thought. They seem to have a lot of coins and no fees for the seller. I would appreciate your input once again. ;)

That is what I thought. It does have a wide selection of coins on it as well. Maybe they are trying to put ebay out of business. ;)

Good find financeman. I just put it in my favorites and will monitor it. If your question doesn't produce any negative feedback, I'll register as well. Their site shows over 25,000 current listings. Not bad at all.

It's a nice place, I have been with it for over a year now and have had much better people than that "e" place, NO FEES" so prices are not near as high, they don't quite have the choices, but if you watch you can get a great deal, I can give you a couple or so of people who I deal with and you can look around their stores...

Cool, that would be great. I am always looking for a new place to look around. Thanks

Here is an article about the creator. It's a little over a year old, but a nice, quick read.

You can finish the reading HERE

Has anyone noticed the lack of bids? Lack of bids= Lack of exposure. Lack of exposure = No Sales.

lack of fees=lack of risk so just keep re-listing. set you minimum bid above your break even point and you'll be fine

21 coins will sell out of the first 1000
    thats only 2.1%

So taking that same rate over all coins
    24009x.021% =504 coins sold

thats not good. But if you have 6 weeks to keep relisting that may not be that bad.;)

Do what you want. It is only my opinion but I dont think it is worth it.

I may sign up to try and cherrypick a few coins though, but I probably won't sell there

Like he says though, it is just a new site and if no one trys, no one will know, granted, if you need thet fast sale with billions of people looking, you will go to ebay, but if you have some to sell and willing to take a chance, Wensy has a lot to offer. I know I have built up a good relationship with several sellers and when they can save money, you will save money, what goes around, comes around

How are they advertising the site. Word of mouth or do they have an advertising budget. Word of mouth does not work that well against some of the bigger sites.

It's not a new site. Been around for some time.

After a couple of weeks, you tire of it because it's the same old coins over and over and over again.

There are no seller fees and items are automatically reposted. So guess what? Same old, same old.

Yes, there are no bids! The price you see is basically the "Buy it Now" price as no one else is around to bid on the item.

Also be very, very careful of excessive shipping charges - especially if an item seems to be priced low - remember, the seller assumes the starting bid is the ending bid. So they make up for it with $5.95 shipping for one coin.

I was going to say something about the fees. I found many coins to have fees of 2.95 or more. Combined shipping if bought in the same day. Only problem there is I could not find any other coins ending soon that I wanted.

I registered and listed something. It doesn't seem like a waste of time to me. If it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. I'll just relist it. They have a very organized system of listing items to sell.

And that is exactly the problem with the site. The sellers just sit there filing their fingernails.

Just read some of the desciptions! A couple of weeks ago, there was one I ran across that said the seller would be away from November 2-9, 2008 and he wouldn't be able to send until after the 9th.

Since stuff gets relisted automatically (if you set it up that way), this guy might even be dead.

    not at all!

If you won a "dead guys" auction, they have a really fast response time for issue e-mails. I had a minor issue and contacted wensy.com they responded to me and the seller the very next day and got us communicating. just my two cents:thumb:
