Went to my local coin club meeting last night. There was a cool speaker on the history of New Mexico and their coinage, show and tell (saw a 110 oz silver bar from the San Francisco Mint), and an auction/raffles. I won these two Hard Times Tokens, spent $10 each. Also won a raffle prize, a 2020 1 oz Korean Tiger.
Speaking of good coin clubs: Every good LCC needs people to volunteer to do jobs and step up. I just decided the help man the club table at this summer's FUN show - my first volunteer effort on behalf of the LCC. I just got tired of seeing the same people having to do all the work all the time.
Lucky you, I wish I still lived within driving distance of a good coin club like when I lived in Florida.
Will certainly volunteer in the future! I might work the Long Beach show this summer if they let me and if my parents are fine with me driving down there, haha. Granted, it is a paid job but I would just do it for the fun!
