4:40 AM I am in LaGuardia Airport waiting for my flight to Charlotte North Carolina. This weekend is a special Metal Detecting event in Rock Hill South Carolina Here's a NGC attributed Silver Kennedy I have posted back in January 2016..
Hey @paddyman98 ! Is this a Planted Hunt or a Natural Hunt? I've been to a few natural hunts in Connecticut and had a Real blast! Many cool finds coin and relic related. Oh boy, I'm excited and I'm not even attending!! Have a great time and of course post several Pics.
Okay. So, I checked it out and although very pricey, it looks like a very enjoyable day of seeded coins buried as well as relics to find!! I guess you only live once attitude makes the cost melt away some. I would just be safe and hunt smart.
Hi. There's going to be one huge area with seeded coins and tokens. The tokens are for prizes such as detectors and pinpointers. Then there's a natural hunt in almost 300 acres of land. Event is from 8am to 6pm.
@paddyman98 , Sounds like a fun day with the very possibility of bringing home some great prizes MD/ not to mention stronger and New friendships as the day whips on by. Ten hours seems like a long time but not in metal detecting.
Enjoy some fine southern hospitality while you are here, Ed. I wish you were closer to me. I would treat you to lunch. Lots of history in the ground where you are going and I am looking forward to a full report!
So, I would imagine that this is in tilled farm land. I am trying to imagine how a plugged hole from seeding wouldn't be noticeable. Hope you find something cool Paddyman.
Do you carry on, or check your detector? Just curious how the TSA are treating things nowadays. Good luck and I hope you find tons of goodies. Many on CT will be rooting for you.
I definitely checked it in. I have a special suitcase for it. All my detecting equipment is in it. Machine, shovel, backpack, boots and all accessories. Thanks!
