EPA sets drinkable water at 500 ppm dissolved solids...that's 0.05%, so your 0.01% isn't really ultrapure. I think ultrapure begins at 5-9's and up (99.99999% pure).

Yep, I'd already read that thread. I'm entirely convinced by the replies and comments that explain why the claim is nonsensical.

Ultrapure water "eats everything" -- but so does regular tap water, and distilled water, and deionized water, and swamp water. Ultrapure water is just the only one that lets you measure what it's eaten, unobscured by all the stuff that was already there.

My take on it is that since water is such a small molecule and is quite polar, it can penetrate into many places and carry things into solution or suspension. Tap water already has dissolved solutes, and is not quite so aggressive as the ultrapure. I argued several times in the Ancients forum to start cleaning "unclean" ancients with tap water and then to follow up with distilled.

Not to derail the discussion on H2O, Very interesting topic.
I want to see what @Howard Ryan coin looks like.
Especially if we are talking about a four figure coin.

The one thing about the new dollar coins is there are billions of them in ballistic and Mint bags in vaults that no one wanted.
What happens when they get released to the public 50 -75 years down the road?

No, just that I ran this thread so far off the rails that I can barely even see them from here!

I honesty was enjoying the back talk of H2O.
Ya know most coins only need a soak, maybe a Qtip roll. If they need anything.
I have been dealing with water restorations my whole life, the most destructive of any natural element, the world has ever known.
