Question

What is this? Lamination? Where it is brighter on the first image, a big piece came off that was touching the ICA when I rubbed a Q-tip over it.

Please show the entire coin. Both sides in full frame. Also, please explain what came off and where. Welcome to CT.

Right now I only have a Jiusion Digital Microscope. I've tried to get the full coin picture but can't get the focus needed. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes. Try this instead:

 

It's a 1967 Lincoln Cent. My microscope won't focus on the whole coin. I guess that is going to be a problem on here until I get a better one for coins.

 

Sorry, forgot to mention I do not have a smart phone or cell just the microscope for finding errors. I do have a digital camera though. Might be able to rig something to stabilize it to get a picture. Will try that.
