I was looking through a roll of Sally’s and I noticed something different on this quarter. The last post I am posting two side by side so you can tell it’s not any flashing etc. Any input appreciated. Thanks!
I can’t tell a thing with these new quarters. So far I’m not impressed with them. In fact I don’t care for the design on either side. Sorry I can’t help you Pam.
Yes I really I’m not fond of them. Just some areas of her neck etc. But you know, I’m going to go visit in TN again. When we lived there a friend lives in a head the soldiers and the higher level soldiers. She said it had a country underground. Will bring a metal detector my next visit lol.
All I can tell you is the Mint is going to end up cranking out around 700 million of each of these (best guess), and that equates to 700 die pairs. If 1 million coins fit on an 18-wheeler that computes to 700 tractor-trailers hauling these from the mints. At 1 million per die pair, you’re gonna see a lot of die deterioration and planchette preparation mistakes. Your example appears to be one that was struck on a crappy planchette and not rinsed properly, along with an overused die. But maybe a die clash occurred too, in the process; you would have to suss that out as you have the coin in hand.
Hard to get a clear image. The swirling and images across her. No big deal. I need to learn to just post the cracks, cuds etc. Thanks!
I like them all Yes, just tons of milky spots on that one that's all. Whole rolls is what I'm all about!
The new coins are not of quality as the past coins. I will get back to my dad’s and mom’s coins I have. Get back to why I’m keeping my coins for son. Tell hubby no new rolls.
There are others mixed in. Crossing the Delaware etc. Found a couple of quarters from the 80s. I’m going to get away from the rolls being I have so much from dad to look through. Good luck and thanks!
