I like 5 it just has such clean fields. 3 was a the next close as that luster looks great and what a FS strike. Followed by 4 is then next choice I'd do.
I know you are a toning fan and these seem to be the least toned of them but 1 and 2 both have alot of hits to me and I dont know if it's the picture or not but the toning on them isn't the greatest and looks like maybe a fingerprint.

I"ll now go up and read what others say but I have to admit I was missing these posts of yours and am glad you started one up again!
    Thanks

I would state it differently. Coin 5 is a great example of why a strike designation like FS is misleading and unfortunate in placing too much emphasis on a single strike location. :)

I went with the Blast White, nothing like the cleanliness of it.

I'm a novice, but I thought I'd jump in anyway.

I voted for #5, because I thought iridescence would be cool, then I realized that we got to see pictures of them. :desk:

After seeing the pictures, I am naively attracted to #2.
But after hearing what you all have to say about these coins I can see that 'less is more' and not to go for the obvious drama if it isn't lending itself to the beauty of the coin. So, I'm sticking with #5!

I still cannot discern the qualities of the coin itself, but everything I read is helpful.

Can someone tell me what FS means?

    Thanks.

There is no right answer. That is the beauty of coins and specifically toned coins. While coin #5 might be the coin with the highest quality in regards to surface condition, luster, and eye appeal, there is nothing to stop someone from liking any of the other 4 coins more than coin #5.

BTW, FS means full steps and refers to a strike designation used in Jefferson Nickels. For more info on the FS designation, please read this thread.

i would go for 3 on the strike. the toning just doesnt mean a whole lot to me on the nickels. of the toned ones id probably go with 4.

I like number 5. It has a lot of detail and I just love the cole of the reverse. All of them are great looking coins IMO but 5 is the best to me.

    To each his own. :D

I LOVE the toned coins, but then again I'm a painter.
    They make me giddy!:p

Still wish I knew more about the actual coin underneath the colors.
