Big toss up between 3 & 5 I went with # 5 I Like a clean look even with tonning. 3 was blast white and I would of voted for it if the # 5 coin had not had such a clean look to it. Nice luster and strike. I would give the #5 a star grade too. IMHO Paddy

Most commonly I have been able to pick your coins because of the strike. These are all pretty much the same strike. I am not fond of the colors of #2, the colorlessness of #3, nor the nicks on the chin of #4. Between #1 and #5, #5 just looks cleaner. Were you to ask my favorite colors, that would be #4. Too bad you don't have the colors from #4 on coin #3.

Really like the obverse of 5 so that's my choice.

It was tough to chose just one! Several others commented on the strike but i just went with the one that i thought most dramatic looking. I love the dramatic toning and the deep blues are really cook IMO. A close second would the #5

Nice eye! The obverse of that Jefferson might be the finest in my entire collection. I still have no idea how this coin was snubbed for a star.

Coin 5 easily takes the cake.
    Coin 1 just looks dirty
Coin 2 has a great strike, and I feel is undergraded, but I am not a huge fan of the colors
Coin 3 is.... boring? There just isn't enough going on IMO

The toss up for me is between coin 4 and coin 5
But 5 comes out on top, I love how clean the obverse cheek is. the marks always distract me on this series, the fields on coin 5 are phenomanal and IMO it should be graded as an MS 68. Not to mention the great colors on the reverse.

Although, let it be known, They all look great.

That coin should have a star. The coin is a great example of how toning on obverse can contrast with reverse and still be pleasing. A beauty.

I always pick coins because of the way they look. On that basis I'd spend the first 2 and keep the last ;)

Can you imagine what a stupendous coin #5 would be if it had either full details or even full steps?

Well - personally I agree with doug on the first two. They had 0 eye appeal to me - just my humble opinion no offense intended. For 4 and 5 - well not being a nickel expert - I just did not like the reverses. So for that reason I picked 3. I know I am in the minority - but the last coin I think should have a * for eye appeal, but I don't think it is a 68. And your last statement - if the reverse had the full steps full strike - yep then I would pick it #5. Just my humble opinion.

Wow, that's just downright cruel. I think they're all exceptional but maybe I'm lacking in some respect.....

  20. Great Jefferson nickels as usual. #5 is my top choice followed by #3 (because of the FS). TC

This is the hardest one o' these threads you have presented to me Lehigh.
I'm taking coin number 5, I just can't help but to stare at the reverse of that coin and the pasty green-purple that you can see throughout the obverse...
Every coin is great in its own right, but man, that 5th one is just beautiful

    Thanks for sharing
Hope to one day have a Jefferson Collection as nice as yours (ARE YOU HAPPY, I'M A NICKEL COLLECTOR) :)
