I just bought the presidential coins off of littelton. They threw in a 1 Oz. Fine Silver Uncirculated US American Eagle Silver dollar. They want $30 Dollars for it. It is dated 2010. Is it worth 30 dollars? Is there anything special about this coin, like it not going in circulation or anything?
It is enclosed in a bag so i don't know how well a picture will come out. I will get one up.
Does all silver dollars have their weight on the coin?

In my opinion, no, it is not worth $30. It is worth the value of 1 oz silver. I don't have a very high opinion of Littleton and their unsolicited offers. In my mind they are unwelcome and I think they are over priced.

A 1 ounce Silver American Eagle will run you around $21
They are uncirculated silver dollars that are mass produced by the US Mint on an annual basis. There is nothing 'rare' about it.

Do not buy it for that price.

Out of curiosity which presidential dollars did you buy?

The US Mint site is selling BU 2010 ASE's for $24 + s&h.
    They are also selling PCGS graded MS69 ASE's for $37 + s&h.

Sorry what is your source for this?
The US Mint did not directly sell any 2009 BU silver coins. They produced them for their resellers but they themselves did not sell any directly to the public.
The kind sold to the resellers do not have a mint mark.

Also they are producing 2010 BU for their network of resellers and distributors but again, they do not and are not selling these directly to the public.

You can purchase them from any of the companies authorized to resell them like APMEX.

Never mind. I should have known I had the wrong site when things were so easy to find. Not like the US Mint site at all.

I believe the US Mint site is listing the anticipated subscriptions prices right now. These prices would be updated when and if they decide that the Silver American Eagles would be sold since the price is based on the weekly average prices set by the London exchange.

If you look around for silver rounds by the way, you will find that they are sold for a few dollars less than the SAE's. You'd be hard pressed to find SAE's for prices comparable to silver rounds anywhere.

My guess is you went to Govmint.com. The .com should give it away. If it were the real USMint it would have a .gov address.

Send it back to them at their expense. You may have gotten one of their specials that signs you up for a subscription program. Look through that pack of paper/junk mail that came with your purchase and try to find a form that you can write "CANCEL" for the subscription.

You can do much better price wise by deciding what you actually want yourself and looking elsewhere for it.:hail:
