Granted, although I haven't posted much to Cointalk lately and probably won't for the foreseeable future owing to numerous obligations elsewhere. That being said, I've always had a soft spot for Large-Sized $50 FRNs ever since I started collecting paper money when I was about ten years old. Growing up, I ascribed a sort of mythical status to 1914 $50 Red Seal FRNs like a novice numismatist would ascribe a 16-D or 09-S VDB. Yesterday, I made those dreams a reality at the BRNA (Blue Ridge Numismatic Association) Show in Dalton, Georgia, albeit much to the distress of my savings account. Face: Reverse:
Super nice and valuable regardless of the grade. A GEM example is a $75K note. I’ve seen VF notes sell $6K and XF examples sell for $15K. It’s unfortunate about the lower margin.
Ya don't see those very often, and you know what they say, "When you see it, buy it." How much is a second mortgage now days? LOL
