I just found this 1982 Lincoln Copper penny small date. Does anyone know how much this is worth? 20220422_110251.jpg 20220422_110303.jpg 20220422_110316.jpg

So the grade should matter when it comes to this error

    What is the error?

I thought it was a transitional error

There are 7 different varieties for 82. Look them up.
Your cent isn't a transitional error.

It's a Variety coin not an Error.

Yes.. There are some 1983 Cents struck on Copper planchets known to exist.. Almost impossible to find unless your willing to weigh thousands of them which seems like a feeble task. I believe there is also 1 example of a 1989 on all copper planchet.

But there is also a 1982 Copper D Mint Small Date Variety which only 2 have ever been discovered and attributed. Don't bother searching for another because another example does not exist.

Yours is normal. Worth 1 Cent.

It's the 1982-D small date copper cent that's valuable.

That's what everyone said about the 1943 copper cent until a fellow from Pittsfield, MA divulged his back a few years ago. Had it since he was a kid and took it to his death bed.

Well none of the 10,000 + 1982 Cents that have been shown over the years here on CoinTalk have been a third example.. I will be honest. Every once in a while I do check my 1982's.. But I don't let them drive me crazy!
