Thinking back to an 1909 S/horS that I used to own. They graded it 63RB. When every which way I and others graded it, it was a gem.
They did not like the planchet quality.
You could be right on this one.

 

Here is the reveal: Some good guesses.

 

Nailed the grade and color designation but wrong strike.For some reason the coin looked proof to me but I had my doubts,figured it might of been a twist.

 

hehe you got me thinking proof as well.. but we were wrong.. still and again WOW Awesome coin!!

 

I had the same thoughts about it being a proof but I decided that a proof die was not going to deteriorate enough to allow the obverse rim cud or whatever it is. As it is, I missed it by one grade.

 

Really nice coin.

 

my guess before I saw the reveal was 64RB; glad it graded higher! A very good looking example.
