The lights are on at Monticello and the Botanic Building

    Was taking some pictures of the Botanic Garden set (i.e., 1997 US Mint Botanic Garden Coinage and Currency Set) for listing on-line. Got some interesting reflections in some of the photos. Looks like they're setting up for a party!

    One very underrated nickel IMHO the 97 and 94 Matte finished nickels... should be at price points 3x's current values.

    True. The mint packaging did not treat the coins well. They toned ugly. I guess they could be dipped but I have never tried it.

    The silver coins the two. $1 coins toned very nicly with a rainbow type effect. Another set from the mint that toned sometines for the good other's not so good is the Westward series with the $1 coin and hand shake medal. Some of these are fantastic others should of been removed from the orginial packing

    I remember trying to remove the nickel from one of these sets. I really messed up the holder before I got it out.
