Lovely notes @Muzyck ! Nice to see the radar @techwriter Really nice adds everybody! And I've got one of those 200 Cruzeiros (P-229) Brazil 200P229.jpeg @BasSWarwick, & here's the front (which also looks like a statue of a woman):

    & 5 Guaranies (P-195b) from Paraguay:
    Paraguay 5 Guarnaries_P195b.jpeg
('guarany' sounds like something you'd call your grandmother but I like the lady on it)

    & P-45d 2 Liri from Malta:

Yes I was a bit unsure whether that front was a lady or gent. On checking Numista I was none the wiser - Symbolic effigy of the Republic, interpreted in the form of sculpture

My note seems to be part of the same series of A-A

A little more digging provided the answer

The effigy is a representation of a young woman wearing a crown of bay leaves in Roman style and a phrygian cap. It is present in allegoric paintings and sculptures displayed in government buildings throughout Brazil, and engraved on Brazilian real coins and banknotes.

I have a 1997-2003 Brazil 1 REAL banknote which displays the same image

Sorry haven't and won't be on much recently because of Europe.

Lesya Ukrainka was a Ukrainian poet who wrote and published in the Ukrainian language that was then banned in the Russian Empire. She is featured on the 200 Hryven note that I saved from a bank withdrawal in 2009. ua2002007.jpg

    Thanks for sharing those notes.

I have 2 UNC of the Yugoslavia 1000 Dinara notes. Woman with fruit.
One is dated 1978 (AN1576608) and the other 1981 (DA5613415)

The 1931 and 1935 1000 Dinara also have ladies on the obverse. (No copies in my collection as yet)

The 1965 Espana 100 Peseta is a very nice note. I only have 100 Peseta notes from 1953 (Maria Teresa López González already shown here), and 1970 (Manuel da Falla)
