I have wanted a coin and was bidding on it and the price kept rising so I stopped biding, Now I wonder if it was you "playing games"? I am sure you have lost some respect in here with some of the Coin Talk people. Who WOULDN'T want a good deal only have you come along and playfully ruin it? OK getting off my soapbox.
The only good thing I can think of about this poster is that he's like a chimp in a zoo, but in reverse. He gives the rest of us something to throw poop at.
All I'm saying is, like you guys and the snipers at the end, i like to make sure a coin sells fit a respectable amount. I really wish this series would get the snipers at the end who push the coins up to price guide. Only one of these got a snipe and I feel the one that didn't is the nicer XF40. I have two search saved in ebay, silver, us coins, auctions ending soonest. And buy it now newly listed. Silver us coins. I check them all the time. And if a coin isn't achieving price guide and i really want it, I'll manually snipe it when there's 1 second left. If I don't care either way if I win but still like the coin, like these 2 here, I'll bid high early on to get the bidding frenzy going when they don't find you in a couple increments. Usually that sends these coins to the moon in some cases. If this were a nice early bust half out would have sold for 100 over price guide. I really thought this series had more popularity. I'm really disappointed to see these nice coins not get a good fight over them. Call me a troll all you want. Its my money. I'll flip whatever pays.

Well, I certainly will send you links to any coins I intend to sell on Ebay. I won't criticize your "unusual" bidding philosophy if you jack up the prices on coins I hope to sell.
Did you read the posts in this thread? How about if I quote just one so you can put your theory to rest....
I've always figured there are plenty of people out there, both dealers and collectors, making sure things don't sell "way too cheap."
You spend energy to inflate the price, you pay for shipping, you pay for the CAC bean assuming it will approve, then you place energy and spend on selling it on eBay. My conclusion is that this approach will fail or will not be profitable to a high degree. You are better off making money cleaning aisles at Wallyworld. And BTW, you won’t not upset this beloved board which is a wonderful group.
A friend of mine once called me and wanted me to bid on one of his item to jack up the price. I told him no because I didn't think it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't want someone to do it to me while I was bidding on an item.
