A Nice Nickel Almost As Old As Me

It’s dated 1955 and from the Denver Mint. PCGS green label so older slab and a MS-64. I can’t pick it up clearly with my cell phone camera but it is toning light pastel colors. It is also the D/S variety.

nice! did you just get this or have you had it for a while? I've been wanting to add one (D/S) to my Jefferson nickel collection too.

 

I’ve had this coin for over 25 years. Most of the older green label PCGS slabbed coins that I’ve been posting I have for that long, give or take a few years. I still have about 10 more to post.

I get to about one a day, just like the doc said.

 

I wonder if it was slabbed before the RPM was known? Or, they didn't ask for it on the label.

 

Not an RPM but it is a D/S. Not sure why it’s not on the label but it’s sure clear in my hand.

 

Spectacular!!! D over S would be an OMM not RPM!!
