chap., That's a handsome coin with lovely cabinet toning ! I've got a similar coin from a slightly earlier issue pictured below.

Nice pile-on thread, @Ryro! I love that Irenopolis coin, and of course your JD Venus denarius is super sweet. I wish I had one of those cool Laodicea tets that others have shown.

I keep buying Sep Sevs despite not being a specialist. I blame @dougsmit and @maridvnvm. :p Here are a few of my favourite Septies:

Extremely rare early (first?) issue from "Emesa":

VICTOR IVST ("Emesa"), a type borrowed from Niger. Quickly changed to VICTOR SEVER because it was Niger who was known as IVST!

    A Perinthos Dionysos:

    Priapos at attention in Nicopolis:

My silliest portrait (from Petra). People complain about Gallienus's neck beard, but check out these lip sproingies:

This next wacky thing (a denarius in good metal) must be an imitation, given the messed-up legends (PONΛE ISPLTI??), but wow, impressive style!

    And some Domnas:

An As from my middle bronze collection:

And my favourite Domna provincial, from Thessalonika:

Those are two of my favorites from your collection. My Venus has the other legend option and I have nothing like that PERTII obverse. There are a lot of less than official but decent metal coins of this period. I doubt anyone is studying them seriously. For that matter, I don't know how anyone could.
