Any damage on a coin should lower its value. Additionally, although many collectors look for minor defects on coins, much of what they find is not very valuable. I'd probably offer you less than 50c for any of the coins in this thread - only because I don't have time to look for one of these in my pocket change
I disagree about your statment against me but doesn't really matter anyway,it's still just pocket change/spender.
Don't take it personally when someone disagrees with you. You made a statement of your opinion to another member. I disagreed with your opinion. ONE OF US IS POSTING MISINFORMATION! You can disagree all you wish. If you want to be more knowledgeable, you will think about how a raised mark on a coin can appear under a raised letter and all of us on the thread can continue a discussion and learn something. I'll be happy to be wrong and learn something from you or anyone here. The only important thing is to be correct when you answer the OP's question. Additionally, what's pocket change to you are actually two GREAT TEACHING COINS that I'd like to own. Pocket change has a lot to teach folks with an open mind and a low budget that are not put off when someone disagrees with them. Hopefully, you will decide to do some thinking and either learn something or teach me and others something.
Minor "errors" such as these are fairly common and interesting. They are hardly ever worth anything because the CRH are finding them at face value.
Remember, this is a forum and each of us gives our opinion. If we agree, there’s the like button. If we disagree, we can only state our opinion and we need to be respectful in doing so. I see no disrespect but I do see different views and that’s normal so please don’t be upset. In my time on CT I have agreed to disagree many times.
They are both very common even if on the same side on the same coin. I see them all the time and spend them but I do keep the fascinating ones.

so far I have opened half of the 2004 D uncirculated rolls. I have found a lot of die cracks and die chips, damaged planchet, and a lot of MD's
Everything you mentioned is very common. Glad your starting to find this out for yourself. It’s a great way to learn.
