    Sorry for not posting in a while. Work has been keeping me off the interwebz.

    I had a bunch of new counterstamped pieces come in. I've got to review what I've already posted so I don't duplicate, but these are very recent.

    @ZoidMeister
    Can we see the full slab of the Ike?
    Thanks. NGC or self slab?

    Self slab, as usual. No label on it yet.

    If TPG slabbed, it would have been "Details- Damaged" . . .

    Eidolon,

    I just revisited this thread and noticed your Napoleon Sedan counterstamped coin. I had forgotten about that one, but it reminded me of this satirical piece I recently picked up.

    I'm 77 and I did that when I was a kid but after train rolled over it for a while, i never found the cent. Assumed it stuck to a wheel or something and just went for a ride. I didn't invest anymore Lincoln cents in this venture. (and didn't tell my dad!)

    Love that steam engine and the attachments. I may have the bug again. There are trains that pass near where I live and dine out in Oregon City, OR. Just may have to give these Amtrak trains a chance to make me squished coins!

    Most counterstamps that you find are round and about 10mm in diameter.

    This counterstamp bY the Missouri Numismatic Society is anything but small and round.

    The Western Reserve Numismatic Club isn't the only numismatic organization counterstamping coins.

    And I do like the variety of designs that Daniel Carr uses on his Moonlight Mint Open House counterstrikes.

    I need to go back and take new pictures of my counterstamped coin club pieces. These old pictures are lousy but still show pretty well.

    Here's three of the East Detroit Coin Club all overstruck on Canadian Half Dollars. If you look closely you can see some of the undertype...more easily seen in-hand though. The EDCC is no longer active.
