So I posted this in the "Strap Searchers" link.. But wanted to hit up you guys that don't see that thread..
I got a bunch of Star Notes today.. I love my Teller.. She saves them for me.. I got them all but can't afford to keep them.. so need to sell a few..
Can any of you take a look and let me know what might have a Bit of a Premium over face?
I looked a bit on Heritage and saw that the 2.00 Stars go for a bit ..
I was thinking of just moving Two of the 100.00's...
Here is the link.. and its in the other post.. Thanks for any help.. am I just fooling myself thinking I will ever get over face for any of these?

Just want to let you know, my wife and teller both hate me from my love of star notes. Now for your notes. From the serial numbers, none of these notes are *rare*, saying that the print runs are all at least 640,000 notes if not more. Those type of notes typically go for a premium. However, here is an idea of grades and what you can expect:
$100s-about low grade VF and face value
$2 look about XF and are about $8 a piece
$1-J notes look about VF++ to XF and are about $3 a piece. Nice notes! $1L not as nice and only face value right now
$20 VF++ to XF as well, about $25
$5-both look pretty nice, at least XF from the scan and could be about $7-8 each for now and may go up in value then. I'd sit on them for a bit.

    Hopefully that helps you out!

Thanks.. Like I said.. New to strap searching.Love getting Stars but Don't know much more then that as to what years are "key", I alway keep anything old.. Got a 1950 50.00 star a few weeks ago.. and a few Silver cert. Stars.. That was a good find..
I wish I could hold these.. I was thinking of just throwing this Lot on Ebay.. Asking a Crazy Price Or Best Offer and Just take The best offer.. I just scanned this Lot.. They are some of the rougher ones in my hoard.. I guess I can part with them.. If I can fight the OCD long enough... STARSEARCH!!

I think my tellers like me MORE then the Wife.. LOL... They always call me with good news. and when I give them money .. they always hand me more right back..

Agreed with the teller comment! I always enjoy the news my teller has for me when I go in. Unfortunately, my wife just sees the notes as something to spend and I have to put them away immediately. I'm sure she'd never spend them but she sure kids me about it! I just acquired a new $50 star note and then sold it to my coin/currency dealer. As soon as I did I wanted it back, but didn't say anything. By the time I did, it was long gone. It's hard to part with some of these! I think the rougher notes on ebay might sell, but probably not for more over face. Maybe a dollar or two. If you do, good luck.

The wife and I share the obsession of keeping all the star notes we get. Generally they are all in change and not worth much more than face IMHO but it's money saved. I have a few Silver Certificate star notes but nothing worth troubling a dealer. Maybe the Grand kids will have an idea what to do with them. We like the stars. *smile*

Good news! My teller just informed me that she received another $50 star for me. Not only that, but she says it is in better condition than the other one, which was a VF+ to XF. Can't wait until Friday!
