It's a "modern" Chinese charm. The first image, of course, shows a dragon but if you observe closely you will see that it is a 5-clawed dragon which represents the emperor. There are also two Chinese characters at the bottom but, unfortunately, the image is just too small and blurred for me to read them. Your second image, showing the large Chinese character in the middle, has the charm upside-down. The character is shou which means "longevity". The "design" around the rim is actually five highly-stylized bats. If you are interested in Chinese charms and symbols, I discuss the meaning of the "bat" (happiness or good fortune), "five bats" (Five Blessings) and explain in detail an old charm with this theme at my website. You mean these danged things is good luck (happiness and good fortune)? I've got an attic full of 'em in a summer home upstate. Anybody want any?
Awesome ! Thanks manymore !! I found it in the bottom of a bucket of coins mom let me look through. She didn't know it was there. I'll share the wealth of information. I'll try a different pic focusing on the two small symbols. Marty
