I need to work on my Morgan skills. I would call that a strong MS65 all day long. If it weren't for the bump on Lady Liberty's cheek, I would call it a 66. A fellow could get lost in that luster....
MS65 edging into a 66 maybe, very nice original luster.. with a few less bag marks I would say 66 easy but they holding her back
only flaw I see is a scratch by the 1 I'll go MS 66 and a beautiful nearing $1200 coin? I see no label #'s?
I would give it a 66 but for the chatter on the obverse, especially the face, it may have been knocked down.
I'm on the fence with this one. I like it as a 65, but I think they may have called it a 64. Really lovely Morgan!!
What do you think the "bump" may be? Before considering, view the ear a little closer, and the lip.(Tip: hold a 5X up to the screen). I do not think the "bump" will be viewed as a negative by a TPG. My opinion....usually wrong.
That was a good lesson, Charley and I appreciate that….. My initial reaction was a bag hit. Looking closer now, I believe that may be a minor die crack or perhaps a scratch in the die. That appears now to be a raised line on her cheek…. Thanks for the lesson.
A few nicks and bruises but otherwise good luster, a very nice Morgan. MS-63 thanks for sharing, hope it's better!
